NDI ANAMBRA WILL DEFEND THEIR VOTES Says Dr. Omenugha

Dr. Nelson Omenugha ,the Convener of Youths Earnestly support Soludo (YESS) has said that Ndi Anambra will surely defend their vote for Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo .
Omenugha ,who made this known in Awka while addressing newsmen on the need for the group to move from Election mood to Governance mood, said it’s an opportunity to thank members and Anambrarians for electing Prof Charles Soludo as Governor Anambra state.
He maintained that, Prof Charles Soludo has won the election and Ndi Anambra are ready to defend their votes. He said is not time to play politics again as Anambrarians have voted him in to pilot the affairs of the state till the next four years.
Dr Omenugha however said that in the spirit of moving from election mood to governance mood, the group needs to change it’s name from Youths Earnestly Seek Soludo to Youths Earnestly Support Soludo with same acronym.
He noted that the group members are Apostles of the Governor elect Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, adding that ‘we all went for war, and today we are victorious people’.
He also thanked the people of Anambra for voting Soludo in as Governor of the state .

“In 2019, we founded YESS to advocate for the emergence of Prof. Chukwuma Soludo as the governor of Anambra State. For a little more than two years, we worked tirelessly to realise this goal. We went through the length and breadth of this state preaching the Soludo gospel. Eventually, through the grace of God and massive goodwill and support of Ndi Anambra, that lofty goal has now been realised, hence we are repositioning ourselves for the next phase of the task which is to support Soludo to ensure that he delivers on his promises to Ndi Anambra,” Dr. Omenugha said.
He informed that this reality has necessitated the change of the name of YESS to reflect her new role in the next phase of the task to build a new Anambra. “We started by seeking the emergence of Soludo as the best hand to take over from Governor Willie Obiano to consolidate on his achievements and break new grounds. Now that Soludo has emerged, our mandate has changed from that of seeking to that of supporting him, hence we are now Youths Earnestly Support Soludo,” the YESS Convener noted.
Dr. Omenugha averred that going forward, YESS will work to further strengthen her presence in all the local government areas and wards of the state. This, according to him, will enable her to more effectively galvanize support for Soludo especially among the youth whom he described as the lifeblood of any society.
“We have never entertained any doubt about the qualification and competence of Prof. Soludo to take Anambra State to the next level. However, we will also not lose sight of the fact that to succeed he requires maximum support of everyone especially us the youth. And this is why we are doing what we are doing now,” Omenugha affirmed.
Youths Earnestly Support Soludo is a grassroots movement of young people who believe in a greater future for Anambra and have trusted and projected Prof. Chukwuma Soludo as the ideal hand to lead the realisation of this quest especially at this critical period of transition to post-oil economy and the fourth industrial revolution.
