Navy Dismantles Nine Illegal Refineries in Rivers

The Nigerian Navy has dismantled nine illegal refining sites in Rivers State’s Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni area, uncovering 60,000 litres of suspected stolen crude oil and 80,000 litres of illegally refined diesel.
NNS Pathfinder Commander, Commodore Cajethan Aniaku, said the May 12 raid also led to the destruction of 33,000 litres of kerosene and the discovery of two tampered wellheads.
No arrests were made as suspects fled. Aniaku reaffirmed the Navy’s commitment to curbing oil theft.
