My Govt ‘ll promote family competency in Anambra – Nze Akachukwu Nwankpo

A front line Aspirant for November 6 Anambra governorship election, under the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, Nze Akachukwu Sullivan Nwankpo has said his government, if elected, will ensure the promotion of family competency in Anambra State.

He said that governance is all about impact and a society is not fully effected if the lives and potential of individuals living in it is not positively touched and harnessed.

www.odogwublog.com reports that Nwankpo said this during an interactive session with a team of media officers on Tuesday, at his country home, in Okija, Anambra State.

He said his government will rely on principles that will help transform families in the state. He added; ” if you want to develop anybody you develop the family because a transformed family creates a transformed neighborhood. Transformed neighbourhoods create transformed cities. Through sound neighbourhoods and family, we produce a transformed society. In our concept of ‘Anambra Families first’ we put family at the center of everything that the government is doing.

“it is the family that is the most important and discreet unit of the society. If that administrative society dies, everything dies. we need to go back to promote family competency, family businesses, services and things that are branded round the family, then promote them to growth”.

To address the four fundamental pillars of the family, Nwankpo hinted that his government will look to guarantee families in the state, the ability to care for themselves, and ability to produce or provide either goods and services. He however, stressed that families have specialties which if tapped will guarantee the state the desired growth.

“If you look across the world, all the businesses that have done well are family businesses. Businesses that start with family, grow with family culture and stand to become a global brand or strength. It is very important for us to grow our families into specialities, into the things that they know how to run.”

“Domestic capital is the foundation of financing in any economy. Domestic capital involves savings, that is people’s savings and plugging those savings into the system. So, I’m going to create a saving law in Anambra state, that will contain every Ndi Anambra from ages of 10 to save a minimum of #500 a month.”

Nwankpo further noted that infrastructures, public utilities, effective administration and money will form the four pillars of his government if successfully elected after November 6.

On the security of the state, the aspirant buttressed that armed criminals, unarmed criminals and then the corrupt are three dynamics that affects security in the state. He noted that The armed criminal and the corrupt are hanging between the framework of rule of law. He assured that his government will do well to eliminate loopholes that encourage such activities.

www.odogwublog.com reports further that Nwankpo informed that his leadership will recreate the state to possess functional road network involving four-dual carriage ways cutting across the three federal corridors of Enugu to Onitsha then to Owerri and linking it to Port Harcourt.

He commended governor Obiano’s laudable projects, a feat he said is rare among committee of states in Nigeria. He said APGA as a party was instrumental to the developments in the state, citing that the party was embedded in the culture of the people.
