Messi gets transfer wish approved after dressing room fight

Paris Saint-Germain forward, Lionel Messi, is set to have his January transfer wish approved, with Mauro Icardi moving towards his exit from the club.

Messi reportedly had a ‘falling out’ with Icardi last October with the Argentine captain having the impression his compatriot doesn’t like him.

Icardi believes Messi is the reason he has not been called up for international duty in over three years.

The situation stemmed from Icardi believing the influence of Messi was preventing him from getting a call-up for international duty in over three years.

Messi’s arrival at PSG further upset Icardi with claims the seven-time Ballon D’Or winner had changed the dynamic of the club’s dressing room.

Icardi has been linked with a move away from PSG ever since Messi was signed from Barcelona last summer.

And it seems a transfer may soon be on the cards for the former Inter Milan striker.

According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Icardi doesn’t appear to be in Mauricio Pochettino’s plans going forward.

The 28-year-old is also open to the idea of leaving the French Ligue 1 giants this January transfer window.

Juventus is among the top European clubs keen on signing Icardi as Alvaro Morata, who is on loan at Allianz from Atletico Madrid, is keen to leave the Old Lady.

But the Serie A giants are yet to make PSG an official offer for Icardi.
