“Men Should Share Their Burdens And Emotions To Live Longer,”—Ven.Dr. OnyekaChukwu Egwuonwu

The Archdeacon, CHS Awka Archdeaconry, Ven.Dr OnyekaChukwu Egwuonwu has insisted that for men to live longer, their burden and emotions must be shared with someone they cherish, mostly their wives or older men and women who they look up to in life.

Ven.Dr. Egwuonwu was worried about who men must share their burdens and emotions with to avoid being misled during an hour with God seminar for Christian Men Association of the Church of The Holy Spirit Awka.

The vicar CHS Awka warned men to resist sharing their burdens and emotions with the other women and people not compatible with their Christian life but their spouses and Christian Men.

In their various contributions, a retired priest, Ven Ejezie,
the Church of the Holy Spirit’s Peoples Warden, Dr Sir Solomon Ubani, pillar of faith & chairman Council of knights,Awka Diocese, Prof Sir Emma Ezenwaji,
a plastic surgeon, Associate Prof Sir Chinedu Ilokanuno, pillar of faith, Ide Sir Goddy O Chuba, a legal practitioner Barr Ezekwesili Onwubiko as well as another pillar of faith, and retired Permanent Secretary with Anambra government, Sir Benjamin Umerah
among others admitted on the importance of men having a confidant in their wives,rather than outside, but insisted each man must master the techniques to win his woman’s love in perpetuity, despite their engraved shortcomings.

They agreed with the vicar that men should share their burdens and emotions in order to live longer as it’s observed men are dying for problems they could have shared and get relieved.
They believed also that good communication between couples and men relating with their wives daily particularly with couples having fear of God and their marriage rooted in God, minimizes the scuffles, burdens and emotions of men.

They encouraged men to be happy and ensure their sexual relationship is strong, and imbibe a forgiving spirit for their women no matter what. They encouraged partners to pray together after the family praying together, even as they pointed out that daily communication with spouses and rooting families in Christ Jesus goes a long way in keeping problems in check.

Earlier in the church service, Ven Dr. OnyekaChukwu Egwuonwu encouraged couples to be guided always by the Holy Spirit by always controlling their anger to avoid generating wrong statements and reactions.

He appealed to men to be in control no matter the wrong statements from their wives as they are wired to make such hasty statements.

He advocated for patience, humility,kind and other fruits of the Holy Spirit as guides to daily Christ like living at home, not without seeking counsel from experienced men and women in odd situations.

The CHS Awka Archdeacon pointed out that some irresponsible acts allowed in the families constitute avenues to destruction of the family foundation like ignoring chastising a younger child insulting the elder.

He frowned at the character of some youths today who deride elders , cautioning parents to be guided in that direction.

In the Bible teachings with the theme: ‘making right choices ‘, Ven Dr OnyekaChukwu Egwuonwu encouraged Christians to ensure their life time decisions about careers, marriage etc aren’t on emotions or permutations but in consultation with God.

He pointed out that aside from the decisions only God determines like the family you are brought into the world, and names etc, divine arrangement perfects others for mankind.

He warned against too many teachers that would make one take wrong decisions sequel to confusion from the numerous tutors, leading to making choices inspired by wrong reasons and ungodly reasons.
He called for wisdom and experience in handling family issues as the two helped one to apply intelligence to action, citing the biblical Solomon with so much wisdom that it was not recorded where he quarreled with any of his 700 wives and 300 concubines due to his wisdom and experience in marital issues.

Ven Dr Egwuonwu warned that any family where the family ties are not together, that it exposes the children to societal prey.
