The FM radio station named Voice of Biafra (VOB) is on channel 94.4 frequency band.

According to him, “the VOB which is our sister station to the VOB International, Germany, is being test run daily and will serve as the authentic voice of the Igbo race concerning the Biafran struggle”.

Uwazuruike, who made this disclosure through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mazi Chris Mocha, in Onitsha, added that, “its mission is to propagate Biafra” assuring that it will not be used for blackmail or hate speech as being used by present day Nigeria politicians against their political opponents.

“We, Biafrans cannot use hate speech against our political opponents because we want power. It is the Biafran electorate that knows the better candidate to vote for as one’s achievements speak for him and not hate speech that counts.”

He urged the Igbo to support and assist the radio station in moving the Igbo nation forward.

With this opening of the Biafra station in Owerri, it has thought to rest the speculation making the round that Uwazuruike would not be granted permission to operate a radiohouse in Nigeria.
