Man, 67, Slaughtered By Suspected Ritualist in Delta

There was pandemonium in Orhoakpor Community in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State when suspected ritualists slaughtered a 67-year-old man popularly known as Mr. Papa.

It was gathered that Mr. Papa went to Orhoakpor community for treatment of stroke which he was suffering from.

Although, the cause of the man’s death was still yet to be ascertained, a source in the community who did not want his name in print, stated that Mr. Papa had a stroke and his people brought him to Orhoakpor, all the way from Isoko nation, for treatment at a native doctor’s residence where he had beenreceiving the treatment for some time now and was about to be discharged when the unfortunate incident happened.

The source said when the old man’s relations discovered that the apartment where he was receiving treatment was too compact for him; they decided to rent an apartment for him within the premises. It was in the rented apartment that they suddenly heard the native doctor shouting, “who did this?”

When he and others get closer they found out that the man’s throat had been slit by suspected ritualists.
