Makinde, Kwankwaso Meet as PDP Reconciliation Stalls Ahead of 2027
Ahead of the 2027 elections, PDP governors Seyi Makinde and Bala Mohammed met with NNDC leader Seriake Dickson and former Kano Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso, amid stalled reconciliation with the Wike-aligned faction.
The closed-door talks, held during Eid celebrations, fueled speculation about political realignments, while the Wike-backed National Caretaker Committee affirmed the party’s March 29–30 convention will proceed as scheduled.
