…Bishop Agbanu urges mankind to shun Ingratitude

Humanity has been encouraged to shun ingratitude and be thankful to the Almighty God, their creator despite the prevailing harsh economic realities.

The General Overseer, Light of Yahweh Synagogue, Awuda Nnobi in Idemili South Local Government Area, Anambra State, Bishop Bright Agbanu emphasized the need to show gratitude to God and human benefactors during their joint 2022 annual Thanksgiving service.

“Our annual Thanksgiving is to appreciate the Almighty for his benevolence and daily benefits from January to December. There is nothing we offer in his presence that is commensurate to the blessings God endows us with.

“I believe in the simple prayer of the Master, ‘ Give us this day our daily bread’. God practiced it when manna was falling daily in the wilderness to sustain the Isrealites for many years.

” The reason for hypertension, heartfailure, stress, many accidents, kidnapping, robbery, fraud and many other forms of vices is because of greed and avarice. People lack contentment and gratitude to God for providing their basic needs,” Agbanu said.

According to Rt Rev.Samuel Okpala flaked by his wife Lolo Chidimma Okpala, Thanksgiving is scriptural as found in Exodus 23. God requests us to appear before him with our proceeds so that he can bless us bountifully.

” We need to teach the upcoming generation about gratitude. It is unfortunate that the new generation are not after the word of God but has quest for money. We thank God for a successful thanksgiving this year,” Okpala said.

In their separate speeches, Synagogue Chairman, Engr Chinenye Onugha, Secretary, Mother Patience Nwachi and Mother Uchenna Chukwuma said that previous years annual Thanksgiving service opened many doors of blessings to their families saying that any sacrificial giving to God attracts multiple harvest and blessings.

Prophet Yahemekalum Umeh of Candle of light Healing Synagogue International, Nnobi, admonished Christians to continue spreading the gospel in love despite satanic attacks because love and thankfulness bring progress.

However, High priest Egwuchukwu Onuabuchi said that physical harvest was a symbol of spiritual harvest which is the coming of Jesus Christ at the end of the world to harvest/rapture the saints/righteous ones into heaven while the unrighteous are sent to hellfire.
