LGA Tour: Ebele Obiano Visits Idemili LGs, Optimistic Mrs Soludo Will Uphold Legacies

Wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Dr Ebelechuwku Obiano tells she has strong notion that wife of the candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in the November sixth gubernatorial election, Mrs Nonye Soludo will take her legacies to greater heights.

Dr Obiano stated this while addressing people from Idemili North and South Local Government Areas where she continued her 2021 tour.

Correspondent Daniel Ezeigwe reports that while addressing the crowd, the governor’s wife said that the poverty rate in Anambra State as at the time her husband assumed office in 2014 stood at fifty-three percent,.prompting her to begin an engagement that aimed at fighting poverty, thus the creation of her NGO, CAFE, with recent statistics showing a drop down of poverty index in the state to just eleven percent.

She said that having, alongside her husband, Governor Willie Obiano, invested heavily in human and infrastructural development, she was certain that Professor Soludo and his wife would do even better because of their  antecedents.

Wife of the APGA candidate for the November election, Mrs Nonye Soludo said that she would follow the footsteps laid by Dr Obiano in carrying everyone along, urging Ndi Anambra to vote for APGA and her husband, Professor Soludo as they hold the key to best future.

The Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili North Local Government Area, Mr Ralph Nnabuife, his South counterpart, Mr Don Unachukwu and the Special Adviser to the Governor on  Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Laison, Mrs Vera-Queen Okonkwo, said that through the tour, CAFE, has driven the concept of equal wealth distribution down to the grassroots and set a strong example for her successor.

On her part, the Anambra State Commissioner for Basic Education, Professor Kate Omenugha  said that CAFE has invested more in the soft aspect of governance by reducing poverty, creating a conducive space for widows and the physically challenged, and reinvigorating hope in governance.

The Anambra State Commissioner for Social Welfare, Children and Womem Affairs, Lady Ndidi Mezue, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, Chief Ifeatu Obi-Okoye, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Anambra State Small Business Agency, Sir Clement Chukwuka, Managing Director of Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency, Dr Amobi Ifediora, Chairman Ogbaru Main Market, Mr Ndubusi Ochiogu were present at the function
