Lawmaker promises to electrify more communities

Mr Abdullahi Angibi, member representing Lafia Central Constituency in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has re-assured the people of his constituency of his determination to electrify more communities in his constituency.

This, he said, was to tackle rural- urban migration, unemployment and boost the socio-economic activities and standard of living of the people of his constituency and its environs.Angibi, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Public Account, stated this on Monday while playing host to Kayarda Community in Lafia Local Government Area of the state.He noted that in the last two and half years, he has provided infrastructural facilities such as boreholes, electricity, education, admission and employment,   among others assistance, to the people of his constituency.

The lawmaker appreciated the community for the visit and for conferring on him with the title of “Sardauna Kayarda.“I want to thank God for the successful New Year celebration.“I want to thank Zaki ( village head) for conferring me with Sardauna Kayarda as this will spur me to do more in touching your lives positively.“I want to assure you that I will continue to key into positive policies and programmes that will improve on your standard of living.“I have done my best and still doing to change your lives and the lives of other people of my constituency postively”.

Angibi solicited continued support from all and sundry to enable him to succeed.The lawmaker commended Gov. Abdullahi Sule for his efforts in developing Nasarawa State.He ffurther called on the people of his constituency and the state to support Sule’s administration beyond 2023 to enjoy more dividends of democracy.The assemblyman enjoined the people of his constituency and the state to continue to be law abiding, respect constituted authorities, live in peace and tolerate one another, irrespective of their affiliations.Earlier, Alhaji Uba Karma, the Village Head of the community, who led the delegation of more than 13 village that made up the community, said that the visit was to rejoice with the lawmaker in the new year.

Karma said that the community had endorsed Angibi for second term come 2023.The village head said that their  endorsement followed the leadership qualities of Angibi in the house.

Karma urged Angibi not to relent in his efforts towards the  development of the constituency.He has also assured the governor of their support and loyalty to his administration beyond 2023.(NAN)
