Labour Party Slams ₦712bn Lagos Airport Renovation as Misplaced Priority

The Labour Party has condemned the Federal Government’s ₦712 billion renovation of Lagos’ Murtala Mohammed International Airport, calling it insensitive and a waste of subsidy savings.

In a statement on Monday, the party said the funds should address poverty and essential services, not luxury projects. It urged a Public-Private Partnership instead, criticizing the move as elitist and fiscally reckless.
