Worried by the extent of destruction of lives and properties,in parts of Orlu Senatorial zone of Imo State, following the recent clashes between the nation’s security agencies and the local vigilantes, Sir Dom Ekeigwe has asked Governor Hope Uzodimma to immediately sue for dialogue as a strategic means of resolving the fracas and restored everlasting peace.

Sir Ekeigwe who’s an American based Imo State Patron of Igbo National Stakeholders Association (INSA) made this passionate appeal during a telephone conservation with  Journalists in Owerri concerning the on going security mayhem in the state and the way forward.

According to the  Ambassador of Peace “Daring and issuing provocative statements do not solve problems of this nature because ego, mistrust and lack of confidence are involved, but mutual dialogue as being done in most advanced countries of the world will certainly unravel alot of things that would help in checkmating further occurrences” he assured.

The peace ambassador further canvassed the need for the nation’s security agencies to be always proactive in security matters by ensuring 24/7 security intelligence report gathering as against their reactionary measures which he insisted as being unacceptable to the modern day best security practices.

He passionately appealed to all the parties involved in the break down of law and order in parts of Orlu Senatorial Zone to immediately shield their grievances and cooperate with the state government and other stakeholders, in their efforts of restoring sustainable peace and order in the area.

Ekeigwe finally advised that the government security agencies and the local vigilantes should always see and understand themselves as mutual partners in the progressive business of protection of people’s lives and properties, maintenance of sustainable peaceful co-existence and execution of law and order rather than perceiving each other as a threat or an enemy.
