Nigerian Youths under the umbrella of a non governmental organization, Youths Off The Street Initiative (YOTSI) has called out on justice Nwabunike and Chris Uba to desist from destroying Democracy values and stop Political rascality.

YOTSI made this known during a one day protest March at Awka on the 23rd of July 2021.

The protesters who marched on Awka and later addressed a press conference at Finotel hotel Agu Awka carried placards with different inscription such as, “ we call on good Judges to stand up for Ozigbo and save our Democracy”, “ Justice for Ozigbo”, “ We won’t stop until justice prevail for Ozigbo”, “ Justice A O Nwabunike and Chris Uba why are you corrupting the judiciary”, “ We call on Justice Nwabunike to produce the case file now” among others.

Addressing newsmen, an internationally acclaimed social entrepreneur and a frontline humanitarian activist, Comrade Kennedy Iyere described the movement as one geared towards ensuring that Justice prevails for Chief Valentine Ozigbo of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP .

Comrade Iyere, who is also a promoter of human welfare and social reforms described the PDP candidate , Ozigbo as a glimpse of hope for ndi Anambra and advised on the need to kick against the conspiracy geared towards rigging election in Anambra State with the judiciary being dragged in. He said Anambra people should reject the trend or face being Imolized, a situation Chief Hope Uzodimma who got fourth position becomes a Governor of Imo state.

His words: “when a man like Ozigbo came into the political arena it became a glipse of hope for Ndi Anambra, while he was landscaping towards victory and hope was beginning to come alive for so many people, some ugly eggs rose again. Anambra is gradually becoming Imolized, the pattern that was applied in Imo that worked, where the peoples votes and wills were submerged and undermined, where someone who was the fourth person became a Governor.

“we are interested in political leadership, no Nation can be better with a bad leadership.

” You all would accept with me that Nigeria is like a cursed Nation because every time election is conducted ,the unscrupulous elements keeps emerging as the leader there by submerging our votes.

“Justice for Ozigbo, is a response tool, the series of injustice we have seen in the judiciary system perpetrated by the enemies of democracy by friends to corrupt judges within Nigeria judiciary system, we are here to counter that injustice, that is why we are calling on Justice O A Nwabunike who has allowed himself to be used as an agent for electoral destabilization.

“Nwabunike did not only deliver a faulty judgment in favour of those who sponsored him to do such but has also gone as far as hiding the case file for Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) so that they cannot appeal against his kangaroo judgement, that is unacceptable”, Iyere lamented.

He also revealed that among other aims of YOTSI was to create enterprising platform and opportunities for young people to actualize themselves and become responsible citizen who would make positive contribution to Nation development.

Iyere, who is as well the Convener of JUSTICE4OZIGBO Movement, having frowned at the vices that had bedeviled Nigeria insisted that it was clear evidence of bad leadership.
In his words, “ what do you think of a nation where the fastest growing industries is kidnapping, banditry, financial cyber crime, the reason is because the youths apparently have no hope of better future”.

Still demanding Justice for Ozigbo, Iyere, regretted that Judiciary which supposed to be the hope of the downtrodden is now pursuing a reverse mission. He also noted that Justice for Ozigbo’s movement would not be limited to Ozigbo but to any other persons facing injustice in judiciary system like Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo while he assured that the movement’s campaign for justice for Ozigbo would not end in Anambra but internationally.
