Journalism a constructive gossip – Abone

A renowned journalist, Mrs Kasie Abone, has described journalism as a constructive gossip, which digs into the lives of other persons in the interest of the society.
Addressing the newly admitted students of Mass Communication Department of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Mrs Abone stressed the need for them to understand relevant laws that can help them to practise without unnecessary litigations.
According to her, a journalist must be hardworking, versatile, smart and sociable.
Mrs Abone admonished the students to study hard to excel in their chosen career, noting that there is no shortcut to success.
“If you must succeed, you should not compare yourself to others. Note that Mass Communication offers a lot of opportunities he also said that that can make one fulfilled in life.
