Jigawa Police Train Officers on Financial Discipline

The Jigawa State Police Command has underscored the significance of financial discipline in maintaining professional integrity, accountability, and responsible money management.
This was emphasized during a Divisional Crime Officers (DCOs) training program at the command’s headquarters in Dutse.
Presenting a paper titled “Police Officers and Indebtedness,” the Command’s Finance Officer, CSP Jazuli Murtala, highlighted the importance of financial stability in upholding professional ethics. The session addressed the legal framework, causes, and consequences of indebtedness among police officers.
Murtala also referenced Section 93(a) of the Police Act and Regulations 2020 (as amended), stressing the need for officers to adopt financial discipline. He urged participants to share their knowledge with subordinates and emphasized the “5Ps – Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performance” as a proactive approach to financial management.
