Renowned Warri-based lawyer, Lucky Egboyi Esq, has said he has lost hope in the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government of Nigeria because of the insecurity in the country.

While noting police brutality has become a part of the Nigerian system, Egboyi said, “It’s a part of the social injustice which has resulted in the insecurity in the country.

“The Buhari regime has worsened the situation. We have a government in power who is there like the government is dead. Like the president is dead.”

Egboyi, who called on the government to wake up to its responsibilities of protecting lives and properties as well as ensuring the rights of its citizens are protected said, “Unfortunately, personally, I have lost hope in the Buhari government. Let’s look at 2023 if we can have a God-sent President to remedy the situation.”

Egboyi also lamented the lawlessness and impunity with which the government does things.

“DSS does not obey court orders. Court will make an order and DSS will not obey the court. DSS will do its own. Police will do their own thing.”
