IPOB Order: Business Premisses, Banks Under Lock, As Few Vehicular Movements Were Recorded In Anambra

Order by the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPoB ), to observe sit at home in mourning the victims including heros and heroines who fell victims during the Nigerian civil war recorded 90 percent compliance throughout Anambra state yesterday.
Recall that the IPOB ordered sit at home in the biafran land in the remembrance of the victims who died in the Nigerian civil war between 1967 and 1970.
It was observed that most business promises, including markets ,banks ,motor parks ,shopping malls business premises were all closed to business yesterday .
Furthermore, there were few vehicular movements including privates, comercial ,tricycle operators and heavy trucks plying the roads in the state capital awka, Onitsha, Nnewi and Ekwulobia.
It was also observed that commuters and travellers, especially on the major roads across the states were stranded, and seen gathered at different bus stops and motor parks waiting for un-available vehicles to take them to their destinations. “Non of the inter state vehicle operators like luxury buses, operators of Anambra state vehicles and mass transit buses were off the roads yesterday”, a concerned driver said
Some people interviewed across the state, including Chief Obi Moses in Awka, said he was impressed with the IPOB order, “It shows that Ndigbo are not happy with events in Nigeria. We want our own country, …we are tired with the various Nigeria governments.
“The marginalization, exclusion, intimidation and killings across Biafra land has gone beyond imagination… I mean extra-judicial killings, murders, burning of homes and several abuses”, he noted and commended the IPOB for declaring May 30th every year, for the remembrance of the dead,
However , Combine teams of security operatives were seen patrolling along the major roads and streets including Awka-Onitsha-Enugu expressway,
Ziks Avenue, Oguta road , Upper iIweka ,Old market road Onitsha, as well as the Nnobi and Nnewi roads among others
Meanwhile , there were no major incidents recorded ,as there were no shooting, arrests and dispersal of protesters recorded anywhere in the state as at the time of sending this report.
In an interview with a security officer who spoke on anonymity, yesterday, declared that the patrol team of police, Army and Navy were deployed to ensure that peace prevailed in the state during this order.
