Intersociety Demands NAFDAC Refund ₦3bn Allegedly Extorted from Onitsha Drug Traders

Rights group Intersociety has demanded that NAFDAC refund over ₦3 billion allegedly collected from Onitsha drug traders as penalties, calling the fees extortionist and unjustified. The group said traders paid ₦700,000 each after months of market closure and demanded a 20% interest refund, while also urging top NAFDAC officials to resign for impartial investigations.
