Ingas FC of Enugu on Saturday defeated National League side, Giant Brillars FC 1-0 in the semifinal of the ongoing state Aiteo Cup to reach the final of the competition.

Mmesoma Nnaji scored the only goal for Ingas FC in 88th minute in the match played at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium on Saturday.

Speaking after the match, Ingas coach, Kingsley Obiekwo said his team played well despite having played three matches in three days.

The former Super Eagles player said his players were playing for their future because he told them that playing against Rangers FC in the final match was paramount.

“I know that the players could have the opportunity of playing for Rangers FC and other big clubs, if they played well and that is the joy of Aiteo cup,” he said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Ingas FC will on June 14 play Rangers International FC of Enugu to determine who gets the sole ticket to the national Aiteo Cup.

Obiekwo, who once coached Ifeanyi Ubah FC of Nnewi and Delta Force of Asaba, said the final match against Rangers FC would be a good one for him.
