INEC declares Tambuwal (PDP) winner of Sokoto governorship election

The Governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, (PDP) Aminu Tambuwal has scored the highest votes of the Sokoto State governorship election.
The incumbent governor of Sokoto leads with a slim margin of 342 votes.
Tambuwal polled 512,002, from both the March 9 governorship election and March 23 supplementary election, while his main challenger, Ahmad Aliyu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) came close with 511,661, losing with 341votes.
