Igwe Orizu III Blesses POCACOV’s Mission against Cultism

The Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) delegation, led by Engr. Sir Humphrey C. Nsofor, FNSE, FNICE, National Director of Contact and Strategic Communications, paid a courtesy visit to HRH Igwe Orizu of Nnewi to seek royal blessings and strengthen collaboration in the fight against cultism and other vices.
The revered monarch warmly welcomed the team, acknowledging POCACOV’s mission as institutionalized by the Inspector General of Police (IGP) through the National Coordinator, ACP (Mrs.) Olabisi Okuwobi. He offered prayers for their success and commended their efforts in youth reorientation, crime prevention, and community-based interventions.
uring the visit, the delegation leader also informed the royal father about the approval of a rehabilitation center for the South East, to be situated in Awka, Anambra State, a significant step in providing support and reformation for individuals affected by cultism and other social vices as it meets with the aims and objectives of POCACOV as a community-driven initiative of the Nigeria Police Force aimed at; Preventing cultism, drug abuse, and other vices through education and community engagement, encouraging rehabilitation and reintegration of affected youths into society, partnering with traditional institutions, religious bodies, and stakeholders to promote peace and security, empowering young people with life skills and alternative opportunities to deter them from crime.
