Igwe Mbamalu, Traditional Ruler Of Ojoto Celebrates First Ofala Festival

The traditional ruler of Ojoto in Idemili South Local Government Area Igwe Gerald Mbamalu has celebrated his first Ofala.

The Festival which took place at his palace attracted dignitaries from across the country.

The Ofala featured elevation of some cabinet members, presentation of one million naira cheque to Chidinma Okafor for graduating with first class honours, conferment of chieftaincy title on the Chairman of Idemili South Local Government Area, transition Committee Mr. Don Unachukwu.

Igwe Mbamalu said the Ofala is the celebration of thanksgiving to God for his blessings, protection and gift of a new year, adding that it is also a festival to showcase the rich cultural heritage of Ojoto community.

On her part, the Wife of the traditional ruler of Ojoto, Mrs.  Amaka Mbamalu thanked those who came to felicitate with them.

Some guests who came to felicitate with them including   Chief Romeo Anyisia, Mrs. Elizabeth Adirika, Chief Afam Obi, Chief Donatus Anozie and Chief Chukwudi Maduabum took turn to bear witnesses in the good work and developmental strides of Igwe Mbamalu.
