A lot of factors contribute to the behaviour of a child in the Igbo land; it is generally believed that any child born into the Igbo race is a living ancestor because he/she reincarnated from somewhere and it’s important to note the factors that could influence the attributes or characteristics of the child. It is important to note that we have four market days in the Igbo land, the Eke, Orie, Afor and Nkwo, they all possess distinct attributes.

I’m going to be writing about the attributes of a child that was delivered on (Eke Day). According to the findings of Mazi Samuel Nwankwo of the Igbo Ancient Kingdom Cultural Association, also known as Daylight, the (Eke Day) is a special day as it’s the first day of the week. It’s generally believed that Eke is the day God created the first human, the symbol of it is fire or sun.

Eke day Children dominate everywhere they go because they have a divine leadership mantle, they are very industrious and don’t believe in begging for assistance.

Eke day children are ill-tempered and detest arguments because it infuriates them, they react speedily to things, but forgive easily. They are kind-hearted, it’s better and advisable to engage in dialogue with someone in this category instead of argument.

They are caring, and generous and would make good partners with other Elements like Orie, Nkwo or Afor category because it’s not healthy for two Eke people to be paired with each other in the task because of the temper issue; they are often attracted to water because water calms their nerves.

The Igbo tribe is unique with peculiar attributes that are distinct from other tribes. four market days make a week (izu) while seven (Izu) make one month which is 28 days. I will be writing about the other elements, subsequently, as I will be treating (Orie) in the next edition
