Igbo Community leader Tasks Tinubu on appointment of more south easterners in cabinet

Calls Imo state people to join hands and elect credible governor who will stop incessant killings in state.

Sir Silas Ikeh community leader and founder of new haven estate Nkwelle ezunaka,oyi LGA anambra state has tasks president Bola Tinubu to appoint more south easterners in his yet to be announce cabinet to ensure equity in distribution of political positions among the three major tribes in the country.

Making this position known while speaking to newsmen on the backdrop of the recent appointment of south easterner Navy commodore Ikechukwu Ogala to head the Nigeria Navy by President Tinubu in his residence at New Haven estate, Nkwelle Ezunaka last Monday, Ikeh while commending President Tinubu on the appointment noted that the southeasterners going by how political positions are been shared in the country deserve more appointments in yet to announce cabinet of president Tinubu to compensate them for been schemed out in national assembly leadership positions adding that this is necessary to ensure equity in leadership positions sharing in the nation.
Said he, “We the southeasterners will come to the appointment of one us to head the Navy which will make us a voice in security council meetings, we are also tasking President Tinubu to appoint more southeasterners in his cabinet to compensate us for being schemed out in the national assembly leadership positions.

Speaking on the oncoming imo state governorship election which will come up soon, Ikeh who hails from Orlu in Orlu LGA imo state and who is also a member of the Orlu elder’s forum and Orlu leaders of thoughts, Call on imo state people to come together and participate in the election to elect a credible grass-root-oriented governor who will stop incessant killings especially killings of teeming youths and rebuild the state.
