Igbo Chieftain Lauds All Hallows Seminary Onitsha At 100 years, Praises Rector On Structural Development

An Igbo Chieftain, Chief Sir. Enest Mbagwu has commended the Rector of All Hallows Seminary Onitsha, Anambra State, Very Rev. Fr. Pascal Okonkwo for his human transformation and structural development in the institution.

Chief Sir. Mbagwu, one of the Old Boys of the School made the commendations during the celebration of 100 years existence of All Hallows Seminary Onitsha, stating that there is a great different between now and the time when he was in the institution both in the number of students and Structural development.

“The Seminary has done more than enough within 100 years. It has produced timbers and calibers of both Priests, Bishops, Cardinals and laymen  who are contributing meaningfully to the society. When we were in the School, many of these infrastructures were not in place. Many innovations have taken place now” Said Mbagwu.

The Isi-Mmili of Urualla who said he taught Biology in the School recounted fathers rectory, reconstruction of entrance road and gate, modern library amongst others as some of physical development which he said the present rector attracted in the Seminary.

He, however, eulogized the present and past President general of All Hallows Old Boys Association(AHOBA), Professor Fidelis Okafor and Akachukwu Sullivan Nwamkpo for their efforts in uplifting the standard of the School through their sound  leadership.

He further advised present students of the Seminary to be submissive to their teachers, Seniors and other lecturers, noting that a student today could be a teacher tomorrow.

“During my days in the School, nobody advised me because I adhered to the instructions from teachers which made me what I am today. So, I advise them to be loyal and submissive to their teachers so that tomorrow would be better for them. What I learnt from the school is what is leading me now in the society”

“Without it, I would have been smoking Indian hemp, Cocaine or other drugs. Therefore, going to Seminary will make you a master of yourself. I thank God I had the opportunity to go through All Hallows Seminary” Chief Sir. Mbagwu concluded.
