– Meets Nnewi South LGA wards and LGA exco over his aspiration to govern Anambra State
The leading Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) aspirant for the November 6 Anambra State Governorship election, Engr Chris Emeka Azubogu, says that if the politics and campaign is about the growth and development of Anambra State, then Ndi Anambra should elect him to drive the transformation of the State into the envy of the nation.
Engr Azubogu said on Saturday in Ukpor during his meeting with PDP wards and executive of Nnewi South Local Government Area (LGA) that his constituents can attest that he has been driving unprecedented growth and development even as the member representing Nnewi North/NNewi South/Ekwusigo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
Azubogu stated: “If this election is about who will lead genuine growth and development of Anambra State, then elect me and witness the real economic growth and development for the State. What we have achieved as a member of the House of Representative is an assurance that we are going to do far more and better for the entire State, if elected as the Governor of the State.
He specifically thanked the people of Nnewi South LGA for their contributions to his political journey in Anambra State which started with his election into the House of Representatives in 2011.
According to him, “I wouldn’t have been to where I am today politically without the support from the people of Nnewi South LGA who have been voting for me since 2011. You made me Mr. Project through your support since 2011 and I have never failed to acknowledge this. I am here today, to appeal that we take the message of growth and development to the entire State as I seek to govern the State through your support.”
Nnewi South LGA is co-host with Aguata LGA of the Industrial Park facilitated by Engr Azubogu who is credited with projects he facilitated in all the 21 LGAs of Anambra State as a member of the House of Representatives.
The projects scattered across Anambra State include over 50 roads, seven bridges, ecological and erosion control projects, power projects, housing estate, Skills development and acquisition centres and training, building of Industrial Park and educational projects.
