Idemili South New Transition Committee Chairperson Inaugurates Members At Ojoto

The New Transition Committee Chairperson for Idemili South Local Government Area, Mrs Amaka Obi, has called on the transition committee members to represent the interest of the people through commitment and diligence.

Mrs Obi made the call during the inauguration of the council members which took place at the council headquarters Ojoto.

The inauguration which ushered in their first meeting was witnessed by some Stakeholders.

In her speech, Mrs Obi noted that the government of Soludo is poised to reposition the state for the better and noted that their duty at the local government and community level is to ensure that his people-oriented policies are driven down to grassroots for the overall development of the state.

She stressed hat it is no longer business as usual, adding that they are expected to carry out their individual responsibilities without laxity.

Being her first day in office after their inauguration by the Governor of Anambra State Professor Chukwuma Soludo, Mrs Obi also interacted with the staff of the local government and sought their support and that of the council members to drive the Soludo agenda of building a livable and prosperous homeland even at Idemili South Council Area.

The APGA Chairman in Idemili South Mr Joe Ezeanya while congratulating the new transition committee members led by Mrs Obi, tasked them on service delivery.

The Head of Local Government Administration, Idemili South Local Government Area, Dr Jane Anene performed the official handover to the new Transition Committee Chairperson, Mrs Obi, while the oath of office by the council members climaxed the event.
