ICPC Re-Arraigns Professor and Two Others in Illegal Degree Mill Case
The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has re-arraigned Professor David Iornem and two others at the Abuja Federal High Court over charges of certificate racketeering and money laundering. The case, which dates back to 2013, is being heard anew following the elevation of the previous judge. The defendants face charges related to the fraudulent operation of Commonwealth University Belize, an unaccredited institution. During the trial, an ICPC witness testified about an investigation into illegal degree-awarding institutions. The case has been adjourned until March 4, 2025.
