Ibrahimovic tested positive for coronavirus

In a statement on the official website, Milan have revealed that Ibrahimovic has tested positive for COVID-19 following a second round of swab tests ahead of tonight’s UEL qualifier against Bodø/Glimt.

The Club has informed the relevant authorities and the player has been promptly placed in quarantine at home. All other team members and staff have tested negative.

As a result, it is expected that young striker Lorenzo Colombo will lead the line for the Rossoneri against the high-flying Norwegian side, with Pioli unable to call upon the suspended Ante Rebic or Rafael Leao, who is not yet back at fitness after recovering from COVID himself.

Meanwhile, Alessio Romagnoli, Mateo Musacchio, Leo Duarte and Andrea Conti are all also out, meaning Pioli has a selection nightmare on his hands if a defender gets injured.
