How Gov Sule, Sen. Al-Makura, NSHA members, others mourn Kakaki Nupe

Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, has said that Nigeria lost a consummate newsman with the death of Mr. Sam Nda-Isaiah, publisher of the Leadership newspaper, whose patriotism and love for a better Nigeria was legendary.

In a statement issued to journalists and personally signed by the Governor, Engineer Sule,described the demise of Nda-Isaiah as a great loss, stressing that the news of Sam Nda-Isaiah’s death came as a shock to him.

While praying for the repose of the soul of the departed, the Governor condoled with the family members of the deceased, staff and management of the Leadership Group as well as friends and associates of the late NDA-Isaiah.
The statement reads:

“The Nasarawa state Governor Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule has received with shock the news of the death of the Chieftain of the APC and publisher of the Leadership newspapers Chief Sam Nda-Isaiah.

“This death is a great loss that has robbed us of a consummate news man whose patriotism and love for a better Nigeria is not in doubt.

“He was resolute, a man of conviction and a dependable ally.

“I, on behalf of the government and people of Nasarawa state condole with the family members of the deceased, the staff and management of the Leadership Group as well as friends and associates of the late NDA-Isaiah” Engineer Sule’ mourns

Shocked by the demise of the Kakaki Nupe,the leadership of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly has also condoled with the staff and management of one of the leading newspapers in Nigeria

The Leadership Newspapers over the demise of its publishers.

In a statement signed by Chairman Nasarawa State House of Assembly Committee on Information Hon.Mohammed Adamu Omadefu he described the death as colossal and big blow not only to the Leadership Group but the media and Nigeria in general.

Hon.Omadefu said the Nasarawa State House of Assembly as an institution received with great shock the news of the demise of the media icon and a great citizen of Nigeria who has contributed immensely to the peace,unity and sustenance of democracy in the country.

“Mr Speaker,principal officers and other members of the house were deeply touched as we heard the bad news this morning and it is on this note that on behalf of the Speaker and entire members of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly I send our heartfelt condolences to the leadership group over this painful exit” He submitted.

The Senator representing Nasarawa South Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, who joined millions of Nigerians to mourn the publisher and kakakin nupe ,described the death of Sam Nda-Isaiah, as a monumental lost to the media and the nation at large.

Al-Makura, who described Late Nda-Isaiah, as his personal friend said he is a versatile politician who made name in the field of journalism.

The immediate past governor of Nasarawa State, said Nigerian media has indeed, lost a rare gem and an indefatigable journalist and publisher.

“He believes in one Nigeria and he is a committed member of APC, who has made name in the field of journalism, even when he is not”

“The North has lost one of its golden voices and founder of a leading publishing company, the owners of Leadership Newspapers” he said.

Also,the Nasarawa State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) sympathises with the family, management and staff of Leadership Group, Niger State Government and entire journalists in the country over the sudden demise of Chief Sam Nda-Isaiah, publisher of Leadership newspaper.

The news of the death of the publisher on Friday, December 11, 2020 came as a rude shock to Nasarawa State Council of NUJ

We pray that God will raise other courageous journalists to amplify the voice of the vulnerable like Nda-Isaiah did using his platforms.
