The Organization for Advocacy for Peace and Values Re-orientation has awarded the Anambra Head of Service (HOS), Barr. Okwy Igwegbe, with the ‘Integrity Stewardship Award’.

The award presentation, which was held at the office of the Head of Service, Jerome Udorji Secretariat Complex, Awka evoked an atmosphere of true feeling of accomplishment through reward for diligence in service.

Receiving the award, Barr. Igwegbe thanked the Organization for considering it important to reward people like her who believed in quietly performing their service in truth and fairness.

The Civil Service boss described the award as timely and most needed especially at this time when our society required advocating for truth and integrity in service.

Igwegbe reaffirmed her belief in the saying that ‘good work speaks for itself’, noting that the award remained a surprise to her, however, it gives credence to her averment to workers that there still remained a pay day for good works.

The HOS, then, thanked the group for considering her worthy to be rewarded with such prestigious award after their ground check across the South-East region of the country where people with character and integrity are in no short supply.
