HON. EBUKA IGWE (UGOSINACHI) FORMALLY DECLARES FOR HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY SECOND TERM

Hon. Ebuka Igwe, popularly known as Ugosinachi, has formally declared his intention to seek a second term to represent the good people of Idemili South Local Government Area in the Anambra State House of Assembly.

The declaration was made during a meeting with stakeholders and party executives held at his country home in Alor on Saturday, March 7, 2026. The gathering brought together party leaders and key political figures across the LGA, marking the official presentation of his second-term ambition at the grassroots level.

In his address, Hon. Igwe expressed deep appreciation to party stakeholders for their commitment in strengthening the party structure across Idemili South. He also commended the achievements of the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo CFR, for the numerous developmental projects ongoing across the state.

Hon. Igwe stated that he has been following the developmental footsteps of the governor, noting that several projects have been initiated across communities in Idemili South, with some already completed while others are still ongoing. He assured that if given the opportunity to serve a second term, he would consolidate on his achievements and deliver even more dividends of democracy to the people.

He further emphasized that power ultimately comes from God and urged that the contest should not be seen as a do-or-die affair. While expressing confidence in his capacity to continue delivering quality representation, he appealed for the total support of party members and the people of Idemili South.

Speaking during the event, the Idemili South APGA Chairman, Hon. Kizito Anoliefo, charged party members and supporters across Idemili to rally behind Ugosinachi and support his second-term ambition.

Also speaking, the Speaker of the Idemili Congress of Councillors, Rt. Hon. Ernest Ezeunyim, appreciated everyone present and commended Hon. Igwe for his performance during his first term, citing the popular slogan: “Ochiri mma ga achi ọzọ.”

The Chairman of the Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board (ASUBEB), Dr. Vera Nwadinobi, also praised Hon. Igwe’s leadership style, clear vision, and progressive transformation agenda, noting that his representation has produced tangible results. She encouraged stakeholders to rally strongly behind his aspiration, expressing confidence in a resounding victory at the polls.

Similarly, the Idemili South APGA Youth Leader, Hon. Austin Ejibendu, expressed confidence that Hon. Igwe’s second-term bid would further benefit the people of Idemili South. He prayed for God’s guidance and a successful outcome in the forthcoming election.

The meeting concluded on a solemn note with prayers offered for Hon. Ebuka Igwe and the continued progress of Idemili South.

Don Onyenji, the Chairman of ASUBEB, Dr. Vera Nwadinobi, APGA Assistant Treasurer Hon. Uche Maduekwe (Igwe), Idemili South APGA Chairman Chief Kizito Anoliefo, Idemili South Legislative Speaker Rt. Hon. Ernest Ezeunyim, APGA Mayoral Candidate Hon. Oluchukwu Ilogbenu, former Idemili South Chairman Hon. Abasilim, Hon. Agbanyim, as well as councillors and supervisory councillors from across the local government.
