It was indeed a fanfare at St John’s Anglican Church, Okpuno, Awka South Local Government Area, during the 36th Awka Diocesan Women’s Conference (ADWOC) and first mother’s union conference of the Anglican diocese of Awka, as the Anglican women conferred the title of “Diocesan Unique Mother” on Lolo Veronica Okafor, the wife of the traditional ruler of Okpuno, His Royal Majesty, Igwe S.I Okafor.

This is coming as one of the guests and the House of Representatives Aspiriant for Awka North and South federal constituency under APGA in the last party Primaries, High Chief Dr Azubuike Ekweozor (Ide Umuawulu, Nwanayoeze) called on the Anglican women to always hold on to God, who he insisted, is the author and finisher of their faith.

The Maritime Guru, however, commended mothers for their support to families and society at large, while he supported them with the lunching of 500 copies of a hymn book titled “Ukwe Ndi Nne” which was started by the conference as the core need for every mother.
