Greater Awgu: Onwuegbu extends olive branch to all

The confirmed member house of representatives(MHR)Aninri/Awgu/Oji River Federal Constituency in the 10th National Assembly,Hon(Engr.)Anayo Bedford Onwuegbu,has extended olive branch to all category of stakeholders of his constituency also known as ‘Greater Awgu’, assuring grass root development and empowerment of constituents as his priority.
Hon .Onwuegbu made the passionate appeal in his maiden written address to his constituents,while responding to the affirmation of his candidature as the rightful winner of the February 25 National Assembly election for Aninri/Awgu/Oji River Federal Constituency, by the Court of Appeal,Lagos.
The Court of Appeal in Lagos on November 8,upheld the judgement of the Enugu State National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal,which declared Dr Anayo Onwuegbu as the winner of the Aninri/Awgu/Aninri Federal Constituency election,conducted of February 25,2023.
Hon. Onwuegbu stated in his address,”Today,8th Septembet brings to an end the political contest of who is elected to represent us al in the Federal House of Representatives Abuja.With the verdict of the Court of Appeal delivered in Lagos vide unainomous decision,your mandate given to me Anayo Onwuegbu of PDP was confirmed”.
Dr Onwuegbu in his address preached peace and unity as a panacea to deliver on his campaign promises,stating he has forgiven who ever felt he or she offended him.”Now is the time for reconciliation and peace”.
“Now that the electoral issues are all settled,I wish to request all to bury our differences,come together and join hands in building Greater AWGU that majority of us are yawning for”.
“I cannot operate without the co-operation of all the stakeholders as we are strong only when we are together”, Hon Onwuegbu stated.
He assured of attracting democractic dividends that would impact on the lives of the people in all nooks and cranny of Greater Awgu.
Hon Onwuegbu stated,’During the campaigns,I reached out to all corners of Greater Awgu and can assure you that I wear your problems,expectations,aspirations and even dreams as clothes.I prayed God to speak to these clothes of ours that am wearing and make ways for us all”.
“That God I believe and trust have spoken through the judgement and soon I will be sworn in as your representative”,Onwuegbstated further.
The technocrat cum politician Hon(Engr.)Anayo Onwuegbu, assured he will use his position to address the socio infrastructural needs of Greater Awgu rural communities to the best of his ability while exploring empowerment opportunities most especially for the youths.
His words,”For our communities in dire need of infrastructure,God has spoken to it and help is on the way,for the teeming youths yearning for empowerment,help is on the way,to our business communities in need of resources,help is on the way,to our indigent students who cannot pay their school fees,help is on the way”.
Checks revealed that Hon. Onwuegbu,who is an engineer by profession and the CEO/ Managing Director of ANBEEZ SERVICES LTD,used his company caterpillars and other earth moving equipment to grade bad rural roads in several communities across Greater Awgu whose homes are not accessible due to bad roads during his vigorous grass root campaign in the 81 wards that makes up Aninri/Awgu/Oji River federal constituency. He promised to endear more grass root development once elected.
Engr.(Dr) Anayo Onwuegbu,an ardent Christian of Anglican denomination,in his compassion for humanity since the past two decades has extended his philantrophy to many communities,the church and the down trodden in our society.Many indigent students are enjoying his scholarship scheme,He is the sole sponsor of “Omeiheukwu” Super league,an annual football competition among communities in Oji River local government area,which has so far satisfied it’s primary objective of discovering and exposing football talents from the area to big football clubs.
His numerous philantropic gestures to humanity has attracted him titles and recognition as ‘OMEIHEUKWU’ and ‘EBUBE’Enugu state.
The technocrat cum politician stressed that his mission to the National Assembly is to serve the nation with more emphasis on his constituency, Greater Awgu.
His words,” I am here to serve you,joining hands with all our stakeholders who are well to do,Together we can change our place for better”,Hon Onwuegbu declared.
