Gov sule donate #2million,support council policy, programmes

The Nasarawa state governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule ,has vowed to continually support the policy and programmes of Honourable Akala Samuel Gajere,the chairman,Karu local government area of Nasarawa state.

The governor in absolute agreement with the administrative policy and programmes of the council chairman, however made a donation of Two Million Naira cash to further support beneficiaries of the empowerment programme,stating that Akala’s vision and his examplary leadership run concurrently and it is in tandem with his dream for development of Nasarawa state.

He made the joyous remark on Friday ,during the launch of empowerment programme and commissioning of a ultra modern primary health clinic,in Karu town and Roguwa respectively.

In his words’ I am highly impressed and fulfilled,owing to the kind of reception accorded me ,members of my cabinet and other esteemed royal fathers present here.

” My preference for Karu is nothing much to be amazed but for the fact that Karu is in proximity to the FCT Abuja,and with it attendant huge population,hence my choice of Karu,in citing some of my administration’s state wide intervention projects,in order to meet the yearning of the people” Gov Sule’ pointed.

In his welcome address,the chairman ,Karu local government area,Mr Samuel Akala, said the empowerment and commissioning of the ultra modern primary health care was borne out of his administrative determination to complement the efforts of the Federal and State Governments at empowering the people and providing basic amenities for their wellbeing.

He stated that it was also a testament and resolve to leave an indelible mark in the hearts of the people.

“We have had several reasons to welcome our Governor and his entourage to our area a number of times that we can no longer count since he assumed office more than a year ago.

“However, I wish to state that our administration has made modest and very significant efforts to improve every sector of the Council with the overall objective of establishing enduring linkages between the various sectors with the specific goal of providing greater good to a greater majority of our people”Akala said.

The chairman, specifically stated that the desire to support the efforts of the Federal and State Governments was to ensure that the burden of governance is not left on their shoulders alone, but shared by the third tier of government that is closest to the people of the grassroot.

“Today’s occasion will also witness the flag-off of the distribution of various items to empower our people. These include a car, motorcycles, grinding machines and a host of others.

“This is in fulfilment of our resolve to appreciate our people and support their struggles to earn better living. I call on the beneficiaries of these items to ensure that they make judicious use of them for their own good and that of members of their family” Akala concluded.

Also,prince Abdulhamid Umar,the prince of Umasha I. Toto local government area,said for any government that has consideration for the downtrodden and settlers in a hamlet,where previous administration has forgotten ,show how pragmatic and visionary such leaders are.

He added that Akala,through the directive of governor Abdullahi Sule’s craved for developing Nasarawa state in provisions of basic social aminities can not be waved away,he pointed out that rural development is a sign of a good Leadership ,that can attract investment.

” So we are very much appreciative of the style of leadership of the governor and the council chairman,I am a rural man and knows how much hardship the downtrodden goes through only to access health care,so this gesture to me is what democracy stands for and the people will be happy that they are partaker of the dividend of democracy and can gladly stand to defend it anytime”He added.
