George Obiozor: Obiozor’s demise a huge loss to Igbos, Nigeria – Peter Obi
The Labour Party’s presidential candidate for the forthcoming 2023 election, Peter Obi declares he’s deeply pained by the news of the death of the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Worldwide, Prof George Obiozor.
Obi made the disclosure in a statement via his verified Twitter handle on Thursday morning.
Recall that Prof Obiozor was confirmed dead yesterday in a statement by the Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma.
Obi noted that Obiozor’s death is a huge loss to the entire family, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo and Nigerians.
“I am deeply saddened by the news of the passing of the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Worldwide, Prof George Obiozor. He was a dear elder brother and friend.
“The death of this foremost Igbo leader is a huge loss to the entire Obiozor Family, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo and Nigerians in general,” part of his statement read.
