A non governmental organization, Project One Nigeria, has called on Nigerians, especially the youths not to be discouraged by the postponement of the general elections but to come out massively to vote in the rescheduled polls.

Its Founder and Project Manager, Bisayo Busari-Akinnadeju gave the advice at a press conference in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
The Project One boss said the call became imperative so that Nigerians can use the power of their votes to elect leaders who will reposition the country for greatness.
According her, “Nigeria’s population is about two hundred million, based on the latest United Nations estimates. As that number continues to climb, the need for an effective government becomes even more essential”.
Busari-Akinnadeju challenged youths who constitute about 60% of the population and regarded as leaders of tomorrow, to safeguard their future by mobilising themselves to vote for their right candidates in the February 23rd and March 9th general elections.
“The recent changes in the election dates which seemed to have thrown the country into a state of confusion, may have caused some to give up on voting but, this is a reminder that we all are a huge part of Nigeria and we are the only ones capable of bringing about the change that we want.
“Shun violence and political thuggery. Do not sell your votes and waste your voting rights. Go out and vote but, vote wisely”, she said.
Project One Nigeria is a non governmental organization that seeks to instill in Nigerian youths the right leadership and political values needed for national development through political education and promotion of self reliance.
