The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, has urged staff to maintain last year’s productivity momentum and enhance service delivery in 2025. He emphasized that staff capacity development, welfare, and regular promotions remain top priorities under his leadership. Speaking at the first 2025 Corps Marshal’s Parade held at the FRSC National Headquarters, Abuja, on Monday, February 3, Mohammed praised staff for their dedication, particularly during the 2024 end-of-year special patrol. He commended their resilience in managing traffic challenges and ensuring safer roads during the festive season. Addressing staff welfare, he stressed the importance of regular health checkups and fitness activities to prevent major health issues. He also announced plans to strengthen the FRSC Staff Cooperative and Housing Schemes**, ensuring affordable housing options for personnel. Additionally, the Corps is set to launch its own Healthcare Management Organization (HMO) to improve medical services for staff and their families. On discipline and productivity, the Corps Marshal warned against indolence, rumor-mongering, and acts that could tarnish the FRSC’s image, stating that exemplary staff will be rewarded, while non-performers will face consequences. As FRSC marks its 37th anniversary on February 18, Mohammed urged staff to uphold the Corps’ founding values and work towards making FRSC a model of excellence globally. He also highlighted technological advancements, encouraging staff to download and familiarize themselves with the FRSC Mobile App launched last year to enhance traffic management efforts. Finally, he announced that promotion exercises will soon begin, starting with Deputy Corps Marshal (DCM) positions, to fill vacant roles across the organization.
