FOUNDATION ASSISTS TEN INDIGENT STUDENTS WITH SCHOLARSHIP IN NOCEN

The Ark Rural and Educational trust, a non-governmental organization, on Wednesday 20th September, 2023 offered Scholarship; Professor Alice Ndu Memorial Award to ten (10) Indigent Students of (NOCEN).

The students were drawn from different departments of the College. Beneficiaries were screened from a pool of names by the College Student’s Scholarship Committee; namely:

  1. Edozie Precious
  2. Obadigbo Ijeoma Jacinta
  3. Ofoeze Precious Onyinye
  4. Nnaji Miracle Oluebube
  5. Anumudu Queendaline Chidimma
  6. Anyiam Chisom
  7. Anene Ngozi Rita
  8. Okafor Jennifer Chinaza
  9. Okoye Ogechukwu Juliet
  10. Echika Blessing Oluchukwu

The representative of the foundation Mr. Emeka Ndu urged the benefiting students to use the grant judiciously to become a relief to their families and contribute to the development of the society.

In her remarks, the Provost, Dr. Ifeyinwa E. Osegbo appreciated the family of Professor Felix and Late Professor Alice Ndu for their investment in human empowerment and development.

One of the beneficiaries, Miss. Ofoeze Precious thanked the Ndu family for supporting their dreams and aspirations.

Professor Alice Ndu memorial scholarship covers tuition fees and cost of living subsidy of hundred thousand (N100,000) naira annually and an annual sum of one hundred thousand (N100,000) naira for the best graduating N.C.E student in the College for the 2021/2022 academic session which was won by Mrs. Godwin Blessing. The Scholarship scheme runs for ten years.
