For the Records in Orumba-South under Hon Sir John Onyeakpa Esq.

Before Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo’s Government came on board, Hon Barr. John Onyeakpa’s monumental strides in achievements Cannot be forgotten in a hurry.
He was first Elected as an Executive Chairman of Orumba South Local Government Area on the 29th day of January,2014, during the regime of his Excellency Governor Peter Gregory Obi.
During the Period under review, the Local Government witnessed a deluge and Unprecedented transformation in terms of achievements,Projects and human developments as never before .
Hon. Barr John Onyeakpa left office on July 27th, 2017 and since then, the Local Government hasn’t seen anyone like him though surprisingly he wasn’t lucky to have been appointed as a commissioner or SSA or any such Political Office holder in the Soludo led administration even though it was the same All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA)he served all these years.
We have 15 communities in Orumba South Local Government headquarters. The communities that make up Orumba South Local Government are as follows: Akpu , Umuchukwu , Eziagu,Nawfija , Ogboji , Ihite,Ogbunka , Owerre-Ezukala, Agbudu, Onneh , Isulo , and Enugwu-Umuonyia.
Some of Hon John Onyeakpa’s Executed Projects include but not limited to the following: Construction of Fish Pond Farm and Stocking of 3,000 fingerlings in the Council, Construction of Poultry house and Stocking of 500 layers and 1,000 broilers birds in the council, Procurement of Hospital equipment and stocking of drugs at the Maternal and child care Center at Orumba South Local Govt. Council and Construction of 3 VIP Toilets for the females and 3 VIP Toilets for the males and the rehabilitation of an existing toilet at the Umunze Motor Park as well as Replacement of Stolen Solar Powered Danfos SHP Pump and Accessories at Ogbunka Market Square.

Others were the Replacement of Stolen Solar Powered Danfos SHP Pump and Accessories at Ezira Primary Health Center, Drilling of borehole installation of suction and Tank at Nkwo Umunze, Grading of Ndikpa-Amazu Umuchu Road and Furnishing and Procurement of Electrical/Electronic fittings for the office of the Secretary to Local Government and in the offices of 5 supervisors as well as the Construction of Magistrate Court Complex at the Local Government Council.

    Furthermore,his administration also witnessed the rehabilitation of customary Court building at Orumba South Local Government headquarters, Gully erosion controls/drainage expansion from Ogbonmanu-Ugwuabada-Ndikpa Umunze axis and construction of school for the blind at Isulo with Asphalted Road as well as other human empowerment Schemes etc.

For Hon Sir John Onyeakpa it’s service to humanity and state always.
