FOI Request Demands Ibas Account for ₦254bn Rivers FAAC Spending
A Freedom of Information request has been filed to compel former Rivers State Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (retd.), to explain how his government spent over ₦254.37bn FAAC allocations between March and August 2025, including ₦22bn allegedly earmarked for State House CCTV.
The petition stresses that Nigerians have a constitutional and legal right to access such information, arguing that transparency is essential to address possible corruption, mismanagement, and abuse of public trust during the period of emergency rule.
