FIRST INFO REPORT OF A FATAL TRAFFIC CRASH AT OBINAETITI AWKUZU JUNCTION BY NTEJE-ONITSHA EXPRESSWAY
A Fatal Road traffic crash Occurred at Obinaetiti Akwuzu by Nteje-Onitsha Expressway, yesterday, 21st January 2022.
At about 19:30hours
The crash was between two vehicles
An unidentified driver of a Blue Mercedes 911 with registration number: XA129AWK and unidentified driver of a Honda Accord car with registration number: RBX155PC.
The probable cause of the fatal crash was attributed to obsruction (OBS) and excessive speed.
According to an eyewitness report, the Mercedes 911 driver sighted sand and gravel in his front being used by the construction company, slowed down while the Honda driver following behind on speed didn’t watched and rammed into the 911 and crashed.
3 male adults, were involved in the crash.
No injured: Nil
No killed: 1 male adult (the Honda driver)
2 male adults were rescue unhurt.
As at the time of filling this report, the dead victim was deposited at Wisdom Mortuary, Awkuzu. The truck was taken to FRSC base Nteje, efforts is being made by the rescue team to clear the obsruction.
The Sector Commander Anambra State Corps Commander Adeoye Irelewuyi commiserate with the family of the dead victim.
He seriously warned Motoring public to desist from excessive speed and be at alert while driving.
Traffic rules and regulations must be obeyed at all times.
