FIFA has sanctioned the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and DR Congo FA for separate infractions during the disputed 2026 World Cup African play-off final.

Nigeria was fined 1,000 Swiss francs for spectator misconduct, while DR Congo received a 5,000 Swiss francs fine for the use of laser pointers. The ruling comes amid Nigeria’s protest over allegedly ineligible DR Congo players.
