FG Sets Up Committee to Manage Emefiele-Linked Housing Estate

1

Housing Minister Ahmed Dangiwa has inaugurated a 12-member committee to oversee the 753-unit estate in Abuja recovered from ex-CBN governor Godwin Emefiele.

The estate was handed over by the EFCC following President Tinubu’s directive. Dangiwa said the move aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda to convert the property into secure, affordable homes.

The committee, chaired by Permanent Secretary Shuaib Belgore, will assess the estate’s condition, infrastructure needs, and propose a transparent allocation strategy. A preliminary report is due in four weeks.
