FG Issues N50bn Green Bond to Fund Climate Projects

The Federal Government, through the Debt Management Office, has issued a N50 billion Green Bond to finance climate-friendly projects, including renewable energy, afforestation, dams, and Compressed Natural Gas.

DMO DG Patience Oniha said the five-year bond aligns with Nigeria’s climate commitments and builds on previous Green Bonds issued in 2017 and 2019, which raised N25.69 billion.

Minimum subscription is N10 million.
