Federal Polytechnic Oko Alumni, Awka Branch Holds Successful Meeting at Toga Bar & Restaurant

In a festive gathering on February 25, 2024, members of the Federal Polytechnic Oko Alumni, Awka branch convened at Toga Bar and Restaurant, opposite UBA PLC, situated at the foot of the Aroma flyover. This marked the first meeting of the year, drawing a commendable attendance.

The session commenced with opening prayers and the presentation of minutes from the previous year’s meeting in 2023, showcasing various achievements and events of the association. Mr. Wilson Ezeilo, the chairman, expressed gratitude for the collective efforts and contributions that contributed to the association’s success.

During the meeting, Mr. Ezeilo invoked blessings for the members, hoping that the current year would bring prosperity and opportunities to everyone. He reassured the members of the association’s growth and its commitment to maintaining and enhancing its status over time.

Members were then invited to share their observations and testimonials from the previous year. Notable mentions included Mr. Jude Chieme’s Mother’s burial, the IBB Inaugural Lecture at Federal Polytechnic Oko Auditorium, and Dr. Odogwu Emeka Odogwu’s parents’ wedding anniversary. Chief Hon. H Onyekwelu Beluonwu, Engr Atukosi (aka, Okay Apanka), Oji Victor Okey (aka, Dike Anagbalu Izu), were among those who shared insights, especially regarding the IBB inaugural annual lecture.

Dr. Odogwu Emeka Odogwu expressed gratitude on behalf of his family for the support shown during his parents’ wedding anniversary, extending prayers for God’s favor upon all members.

New members were warmly welcomed, with the chairman emphasizing the association’s purpose of mutual identification and support. The meeting concluded with a brief prayer led by Mrs. Onwumelu, followed by a friendly chit-chat among the members.
