FCTA Workers to Shut Abuja Offices as Strike Begins Monday
Workers of the Federal Capital Territory Administration will shut government offices across Abuja from Monday, January 19, as unions begin an indefinite strike over unresolved welfare issues.
The Joint Union Action Congress said the action follows the expiration of a seven-day ultimatum to FCTA management, citing unpaid promotion arrears, stalled promotions, unremitted pensions and housing deductions, and concerns over the 2024 promotion exams.
