FCT council elections: Ortom, Makinde, others oversee PDP campaign

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has nominated the Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom as Chairman of its National Campaign Council for February 12, 2022, Local Government Area Council Elections in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja.

PDP in a statement by its National Organizing Secretary, Hon. Umar M. Nature, Friday, started that other members of the Campaign Council are Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Sokoto State governor, Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, Bauchi State Governor, Nyesom Wike, Rivers State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Enugu State Governor, Chairman PDP Board of Trustees Sen. Walid Jibrin, former Senate Presidents Sen. David Mark and Sen. Bukola Saraki.

The opposition party also appointed the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde as the Secretary of the council.

Others include: Senate Minority Leader, Sen. Enyinnaya Abaribe, Ibrahim Idris , House Minority leader Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, Sen. Philip Aduda, Uche Ekwunife, Prof. Jerry Gana, Hajiya Mrs Zainab Maina, Sen. Gabriel Suswam, Hon. Magaret Icheen, Sen. Zainab Kure, Sen. Solomon Ewuga, Hon. Theophilus Dakas Shan (NVC-North Central), Kamaldeen Adeyemi Ajibade, SAN (National Legal Adviser), Hon. Jiba Y. Micah, Hon. Hassan U. Sokodabo, Hon. Ngbede John, Hon. Zakka Dogo Sunday, Engr. (Dr) Sam Uhuotu, Hon. Babatunde Mohammed, Hon. Francis Orogu, Barr. Tanko Beji, Hon. Chris Hassan, Abdulrahman Mohammed, Chief Felicia Ebun Owolabi and Hajiya Hadiza Mohammed.

It continued “the Directorate of Organization & Mobilization (DOM) is to provide Secretariat for the Campaign Council.

“The PDP urges all aspirants, members of our Party and our teeming supporters in the FCT to remain focused and continue to work hard as the PDP marches to victory in the elections.”
