FC Inter, Purple Krown qualifies for Enugu football league final

Inter FC of Ngwo and Purple Krown Academy of New Layout have reached the semifinal of the ongoing Enugu State Football League that will take place on Friday.

At the match, played inside Rangers International FC training pitch, Liberty Estate, Enugu, Inter defeated Great Achievers of Emene 2-0 and Purple Known beat FC Stars Plus of Ngwo with the same margin.

In the match between Inter and Achievers, Miracle Ogwor put his team ahead and Chukwuemeka Chinedu made it 2-0.

With the results of the semifinal match, FC Inter and Purple Krown will now face each other in the final of the state league to be played inside the Rangers International FC training pitch.

In his post-match interview, Coach Joseph Enyang of Inter FC, said he was not surprised that his team won the match because they had always been at the final of state league.

He said, though we did not play well, but the bottom line is that we won and I expect the players to raise their game in the final.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Inter FC has been a household name in the Enugu State League and Federation cup at the state level.

Inter was the defending champions of the ongoing state league as they defeated Flying Angels of Uwani 1-0 at the 2022 final. (NAN)
